They include aspects such as speed, security, reliability, scalability, and ease of use. A successful system requires both types of requirements to be clearly defined. Once the requirements are finalized, they are documented in a structured format. Documents such as the Business Requirements Document (BRD), Software Requirements Specification (SRS), user stories, or use cases become the foundation for the development and testing teams. Clear documentation reduces misunderstandings because everyone involved in the project refers to the same information throughout the development process. Requirement analysis is also important because business needs can change over time. Markets evolve, customer expectations shift, and organizations introduce new priorities. A well-defined requirement analysis process helps evaluate these changes and understand their impact on project scope, budget, and schedule before they are implemented. This allows teams to make informed decisions instead of reacting to unexpected situations. Projects with strong requirement analysis usually experience fewer development issues and smoother communication among stakeholders.
